Congratulations to residents of Kite Way, Letchworth who scooped £1 Million after SG6 4YQ landed the Postcode Lottery Millionaire Street Prize! Each ticket was worth £100,000.
Fiona Chambers - an airline cabin crew member - was one of the winners. Speaking to Postcode Lottery, Fiona said: "It’s a ridiculous amount of money I’ve just been given. This is the best day of my life and life changing for our neighbourhood."
Chris Ryan and his wife Angela - pictured - scooped a cool £200,000 as they played with two tickets. Chris said “I’m really shaking now. I thought the first cheque was the winning amount. That’s a big lot of money that we’ve not had before… amazing.”
Local Charities Also Cashed In
In addition to the players winnings, local charities also benefited from the win thanks to charitable funds raised by players. Garden House Hospice was awarded £75,000. Citizens Advice North Herts and MS Trust were each awarded £50,000. Grants were also given to Letchworth Foodbank, Herts Disability Sports Foundation and the 8th Letchworth Scout Group.
